One studio, one architect, one way of doing things.
Narayani Architecture & Design is the studio of Nune Harutyunyan, architect and interior designer based in Brussels. The studio supports private and professional clients who want to transform an existing place, and also designs new houses.

Nune Harutyunyan
Architect & interior designer
Trained in architecture and then in interior design, Nune founded Narayani to bring both scales together in one hand: that of the building, with its plans, sections and façades, and that of the interior, with its materials, furniture and light.
She works in French, English, Russian and Armenian, and documents every project bilingually to ease exchanges with contractors and administrations.
This presentation text is provisional and will be replaced by the biography approved by the architect.
Start from the existing
A house already has qualities: an orientation, a ceiling height, a veranda, a staircase. We start by measuring and understanding them before proposing anything. This respect for the existing is also the most sustainable way to build.
Calm as a material
Few colours, natural materials, designed light: the calm of an interior does not come from emptiness, it comes from coherence. The Japandi style, which we love, is not a decor but a discipline.
Draw down to the detail
A successful project depends on precise things: the width of a door, the height of a sill, the position of a spotlight. Every sheet is surveyed, drawn and checked by the same person.
Two arches, a circle, contour lines.
The studio's mark brings together three figures: the arch, which is a passage and a shelter; the dotted circle, which evokes matter and softened light; the contour lines, which recall that every project starts with a plot and a survey. You will find these three figures in the niches, openings and plans we draw.
